  • The inclusion of AI tools as a 'first-pass baseline' suggests an expectation for high output and efficiency in documentation or prototyping.

About the Role: WEX is transforming how businesses manage spend and fleets—with a vision beyond traditional fueling through a growing set of electric vehicle (EV) charging, payment, and connected fleet capabilities built on shared platform investments. We are looking for an execution-driven, collaborative Product Manager (PM3) to own and scale key digital capabilities within our mixed energy and connected fleet ecosystem. Sitting within the North American Mobility (NAM) Product Team, you will focus on merchant network integrations, third-party partner connections, and user experience enhancements across our mobile app and online web portals.

In this role, you will work hands-on with cross-functional partners—including engineering, design, operations, marketing, and commercial teams—to deliver practical, friction-free solutions that fleet managers and drivers rely on every day. You will also benefit from working alongside a Senior PM who will mentor and guide you as you ramp up on WEX’s ecosystem. What You’ll Do Drive Tactical Product Execution: Own features end-to-end across our mobile app and customer portal, translating user needs and technical requirements into actionable user stories and sprint priorities.

Optimize Multi-Channel User Journeys: Improve usability and streamline digital onboarding workflows for fleet managers and drivers to reduce friction and drop-offs. Conduct Field Research & Customer Discovery: Participate in customer call sessions, talk directly with fleet managers, and analyze operational feedback to ensure user pain points guide daily product trade-offs. Execute Test-and-Learn Scenarios: Formulate hypotheses, evaluate behavioral data/dashboards, and test workflow improvements to measure adoption and deliver on team OKRs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, UX design, operations, and merchant partners to keep product delivery aligned and stakeholders updated on roadmap progress. Design & AI Prototyping: Collaborate with UX design teams to create prototypes and test concepts quickly before engineering build-out. EV & Connected Fleet Specifics: Expand Partner & Network Integrations: Support standard third-party partner and network integrations to expand overall EV charging transaction coverage, real-time authorizations, and session management.

Support Fleet Charging Journeys: Help enable smooth onboarding, reporting, and operational support across public, private, and home charging scenarios. Explore Connected Car Data: Work with vehicle data and connected car capabilities to help fleets optimize energy consumption and operational efficiency. Hands-On Troubleshooting & Testing: Partner with internal operations and customers to test EV solutions in real-world scenarios, ensuring friction-free execution.

What You Bring: 3–5 years of Product Management experience , with a track record of owning features or product capabilities through the full development lifecycle. Tactical Execution Focus: Strong ability to write user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritize backlogs, and deliver value iteratively in an agile environment. Frictionless User Experience: Conduct customer discovery and field research with fleet managers and drivers to optimize onboarding, reduce workflow friction, and enhance daily operational usability.

Comfortable reviewing behavioral data/dashboards and speaking directly with users/operations teams to inform trade-offs. Data-Driven Innovation: Leverage vehicle data to build tools that help fleets optimize energy consumption, monitor operational efficiency, and transition smoothly to EV models. Prototyping & UX Comfort: Familiarity collaborating with product designers and leveraging AI/design tools for quick workflow prototyping. Strong Stakeholder Communication: Ability to communicate clearly across engineering, business, and operational teams.

Nice to Have: Experience or background in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging networks, connected fleet data, payments, or API-based partner integrations. Hands-on experience working with fleet management systems or B2B platforms. Ability to drive cross-functional delivery using AI tools like Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, as a first-pass baseline to scale operational capacity. Why This Role Matters: WEX is expanding its EV and connected fleet capabilities, unlocking a critical growth opportunity in fleet electrification.

This role will help shape how we: Simplify and reimagine digital fleet experiences from the customer perspective. Seamlessly connect drivers and fleet operators to widespread, real-time charging networks. Drive cross-functional alignment across technology, merchant, and commercial teams to scale unified solutions. Ensure that fleets have comprehensive and easy-to-use solutions that optimize operations as they add electric and connected vehicles to their fleet.
