How does the matcher actually read my resume?
Most resume matchers look for literal keyword overlap, which means a resume listing "SQL, Python, Tableau" gets zero matches against a job description asking for "data fluency." This one reads your sentences for what they mean, not just which words appear. A bullet about "built dashboards to track activation cohorts" lines up with a role looking for "experimentation experience" without either side using the same vocabulary.
What makes a strong match?
Strong matches happen when the distinctive parts of your experience line up with the distinctive parts of a role. Pure cosine similarity over-rewards generic PM phrases — every resume mentions "cross-functional collaboration" and every JD asks for it — so the matcher weights those down and gives more credit to specific overlap: domain (fintech ↔ payments, healthtech ↔ clinical workflows), tools (Looker, Amplitude, Segment), and motion (growth loops, platform consolidation, enterprise procurement cycles). For each match you'll see the sentences from your resume and the JD that drove it.
Is my resume stored or sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your resume is never sent to a server, never stored, never logged. The first time you run it, your browser does a one-time setup; after that every run finishes in a few seconds.
Can I re-run it after editing my resume?
Yes. The job database updates daily, so if you refine your resume or check for new openings, run it again. Most of the per-run cost is one-time setup, so a re-run only takes a few seconds.
