This Product Manager role focuses on the assessment content strategy for an enterprise K-12 education portfolio. You will manage the roadmap and lifecycle for several major student placement and potential measurement tools.
What you’d own
24-month content roadmap for the Potential & Placement portfolio
Business cases for new market-driven assessment additions
QA/UAT processes for all new content integrations
Management of external author and partner relationships
Who it’s for
A fit if you…
✓You have 3-5 years of experience in K-12 education or regulated content spaces.
✓You have a background as a school coordinator or administrator.
✓You can translate complex subject-matter expertise into technical requirements.
✓You are comfortable presenting business cases to senior leadership.
Not for you if…
✗You prefer pure tech products without heavy regulatory or compliance constraints.
✗You prefer a role with no external stakeholder management (authors/partners).
✗You want to avoid hands-on documentation and QA oversight tasks.
Reading between the lines
The requirement for 'school coordinator' experience suggests the product is highly specialized and requires deep domain authority.
The mention of 'regulated space' and specific data laws (FERPA/COPPA) implies a high bar for accuracy and compliance in your work.

As the Assessment Content Product Manager, Reach, you will own the assessment strategy behind how Riverside identifies student potential and places students in the right program — setting and driving the content roadmap for CogAT, the Iowa Assessments, easyCBM, IAAT/GMRT, and the next generation of measures that will define the Potential & Placement portfolio. You'll report to the Senior Director of Product, partnering closely with the Reach engineering team, the Research team, and the author groups behind CogAT, Iowa, and easyCBM. This is a strategy-and-execution role: you'll scan the market for new ways to measure student potential, build the roadmap and business case for what's next, and then stay hands-on through requirements, build oversight, and launch. You'll own this strategy end to end — from identifying what belongs on the roadmap, to building the case for it, to making sure every assessment we ship works for the students and educators who rely on it. If you want to define how an entire market identifies and places student potential, this is that role.
