Who it’s for
A fit if you…
- ✓You have 3+ years of SaaS experience in a complex domain.
- ✓You enjoy process mapping and identifying operational inefficiencies.
- ✓You are comfortable using AI tools to accelerate product work.
- ✓You prefer solving 'why' problems over just managing backlogs.
Not for you if…
- ✗You prefer building simple consumer features over complex enterprise workflows.
- ✗You want a role with minimal stakeholder management or negotiation.
- ✗You are looking for a pure technical product role without operational focus.
Reading between the lines
- The emphasis on 'time-and-motion analysis' and 'manual work' suggests the current product may involve significant manual processes that need automation.
- The specific mention of 'AI-Forward' tools implies a push to integrate LLMs into both internal workflows and customer-facing features.
- The requirement to 'challenge assumptions' suggests a culture that values proactive problem-solving over following a pre-defined roadmap.

Turn Complex Healthcare Problems Into Products That Work
At Quest Analytics, we build technology that helps health plans navigate some of the most complex challenges in healthcare. We're looking for a Product Manager – Compliance & Operational Efficiency who can take complicated problems, create clarity, and turn that understanding into products and capabilities that make work simpler, faster, and more effective for our customers.
This is a hands on Product Management role for someone who enjoys being at the intersection of customers, business needs, and technology.
You'll partner with Product colleagues who are helping identify the problems we need to solve, then take ownership of understanding those problems deeply, translating them into clear and actionable work, and partnering with Engineering through execution and delivery.
We're not looking for someone who simply manages a backlog or takes feature requests. We want a problem solver, someone who asks why, challenges assumptions, understands the outcome we're trying to achieve, and helps the team determine the best way to get there.
What You’ll Do:
Turn Problems Into Clear Product Solutions Own and prioritize product capabilities supporting Quest Analytics' healthcare compliance solutions. Develop a clear understanding of who we're solving for, what problem we're solving, and why it matters . Partner closely with Product colleagues leading discovery and planning to translate customer and market problems into actionable product work. Break complex or ambiguous problems into clear requirements, user stories, priorities, and development work. Maintain strong Product Management discipline throughout execution, keeping the team focused on the problem and desired outcome rather than simply delivering requested features. Help take product capabilities through development, delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization. Understand How Customers Really Work Healthcare workflows are complex. You'll help us understand what is actually happening behind the process, not simply what a workflow looks like on paper. Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, operational processes, pain points, and desired outcomes. Lead workflow reviews, discovery conversations, and cross-functional working sessions. Use techniques such as process mapping, workflow analysis, time-and-motion analysis, and human-factors thinking to understand where time and effort are being spent. Identify unnecessary steps, handoffs, delays, manual work, and other sources of friction. Ask not only "How does this work today?" but also "Why does it work this way and does it still need to?" Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, eliminate, or redesign work through technology. Be a Strong Partner to Engineering You'll work closely with Engineering throughout the development process, not simply hand over requirements and wait for something to be built. Translate business and customer problems into clear context and actionable work for Engineering. Make sure Engineering understands both what we're trying to accomplish and why it matters . Partner with technical teams to evaluate options, understand constraints, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and deliver scalable solutions. Surface ambiguity, dependencies, risks, and unanswered questions early. Adjust priorities thoughtfully as new information emerges while helping protect teams from unnecessary churn. Keep work progressing by creating clarity and driving decisions when needed. Take Ownership Through Launch Shipping the product isn't the end of the job. Partner with Client Services, Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering, and other teams to successfully bring product capabilities to market. Own enablement, support readiness, and client communication as part of delivery. Proactively communicate priorities, decisions, progress, risks, and changes so teams are working from one accurate story . Surface uncertainty and risk early and use good judgment to determine when an issue requires escalation. Manage competing stakeholder requests by prioritizing against the customer problem and desired outcome, not simply who is asking. Prove That We Made It Better We want to know that what we build creates meaningful value. Establish baseline measurements and define success metrics before and during development. Measure the impact of product improvements through outcomes such as: Time saved Steps eliminated Increased throughput Reduced manual work Improved accuracy Faster turnaround times Better customer and user experiences Use data and customer feedback to understand what's working and identify opportunities for continued improvement. Develop business cases or ROI models that connect product investments to measurable customer and business value. Help Us Build an AI-Forward Product Organization We believe AI should change more than how quickly we write a document, it should help us rethink how Product teams and our customers work. In this role, you'll: Use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other emerging technologies to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, requirements development, ideation, prototyping, and validation. Explore opportunities to use AI and automation to simplify or redesign customer workflows. Look for ways to improve internal Product development processes through AI and automation. Experiment with new technologies while applying strong human judgment and maintaining appropriate standards for data integrity, security, and compliance.
What You'll Need:
3+ years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment , with strong experience taking product capabilities through development and into market. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience . Strong Product Management fundamentals, including discovery, prioritization, requirements development, Agile delivery, and stakeholder management. Experience translating complex customer or business problems into clear requirements and actionable work for Engineering. Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience. Experience using data and metrics to establish baselines and measure the impact of product improvements. Strong facilitation, interviewing, listening, and problem-solving skills. Experience partnering closely with Engineering and technical teams. Ability to balance competing priorities, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and drive decisions. Ability to influence stakeholders and create accountability without direct authority. Strong communication and relationship-building skills across technical and nontechnical audiences. Confidence challenging existing processes and assumptions while maintaining strong working relationships. Hands-on familiarity with AI/LLM tools and an interest in continually finding better ways to apply emerging technology. Self-motivation and comfort operating in a fast-moving, deadline-oriented environment. We'd Be Especially Excited If You Bring Healthcare technology experience, particularly working with or building products for health plans/payers. An understanding of how health plans operate and the challenges they face. Experience with healthcare compliance, network adequacy, provider networks, provider data, or healthcare analytics. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, process engineering, operational excellence, or continuous improvement. Experience with process mapping, value-stream mapping, workflow analysis, or time-and-motion studies. Experience developing business cases or ROI models for product or process improvements. Experience using AI or automation to redesign or improve operational workflows. What Success Looks Like You'll know you're making an impact when you can take a complex healthcare problem, quickly understand who we're solving for and why it matters , translate that problem into clarity for Engineering, and help the team deliver a solution that creates measurable value. You'll build trust across Product, Engineering, Client Services, Sales, and our customers because you communicate early, create clarity when things are ambiguous, and take ownership through delivery. Most importantly, you won't simply ask: "What feature should we build?" You'll ask: "What problem are we actually trying to solve—and what's the best way to solve it?" If that's how you think about Product Management, we'd love to meet you.
