Senior Product Manager, Ad Formats

Instacart

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on the ecommerce ad formats domain. You will drive 0-to-1 product bets to expand advertiser reach and develop new user-facing experiences across multiple surfaces.

What you’d own

  • Ad format innovation for CPGs and new advertiser types
  • 0-to-1 strategy and execution for new ad products
  • In-store experiences and AI solutions
  • Partner and vendor management for external technology providers

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have experience specifically in product management for ad formats
  • ✓You are comfortable taking ambiguous ideas from zero to one
  • ✓You have a background in ad tech or retail media
  • ✓You can manage complex trade-offs between user experience and advertiser goals

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer established products over 0-to-1 development
  • ✗You prefer to work without managing external partners or vendors
  • ✗You prefer a role with clearly defined, non-ambiguous requirements

Reading between the lines

  • The mention of 'non-endemic' and 'new advertiser types' suggests you will be tasked with expanding the platform's reach beyond its core audience.
  • The requirement to manage 'trade-offs between users and advertisers' implies a high level of negotiation with internal sales teams and external partners.
