Full job description
Who We Are Verve has created a more efficient and privacy-focused way to buy and monetize advertising. Verve is an ecosystem of demand and supply technologies fusing data, media, and technology together to deliver results and growth to both advertisers and publishers–no matter the screen or location, no matter who, what, or where a customer is. With 30 offices across the globe and with an eye on servicing forward-thinking advertising customers, Verve’s solutions are trusted by more than 90 of the United States’ top 100 advertisers, 4,000 publishers globally, and the world’s top demand-side platforms.
Learn more at verve.com . About Verve Retail Media The biggest challenge for advertisers in physical retail is the lack of measurable proof of effectiveness. Brands invest millions in advertising at the point of sale, but they cannot demonstrate whether those investments actually generated purchases. Verve Retail Media (VRM) solves this problem. We market and operate digital advertising screens across several thousand grocery, drugstore and convenience store locations, connecting them with digital coupons and retargeting campaigns on connected TV (CTV) and other offsite channels.
Brands don’t book isolated advertising formats; instead, they book 360-degree campaigns that start at home and continue all the way through to an in-store purchase. This enables closed-loop measurement based on actual point-of-sale transaction data. VRM is the independent retail media division of publicly listed Verve Group SE. We operate like a rapidly scaling startup, with an AI-first strategy across all functions. We also have access to the infrastructure of an international ad tech company that delivers more than one trillion advertising impressions per year.
About the Role AI needs data. While the digital world has been mapped, the vast, untapped data of human behavior and location intelligence remains the greatest challenge and the greatest opportunity. We are creating a robust data platform and sophisticated geo-targeting infrastructure that enables brands to understand shopper behavior and reach audiences effectively outside the physical store. In order to build this platform, we are looking for a visionary Technical Product Manager to lead the development of our cutting-edge capabilities.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of AdTech, Location Data, and AI, building the infrastructure that allows brands and retailers to engage shoppers through off-site media and precise geographic targeting. You will own the roadmap for our core data platform, advanced geo-targeting tools, and off-site ad integrations. Crucially, you will own the entire product lifecycle from initial discovery and scoping all the way through to commercial readiness.
This end-to-end ownership requires tight collaboration with our Sales and Operations teams to ensure what we build is not only technically sound but also highly marketable and operationally scalable. A critical focus of this role will be building products that scale globally, with a specific emphasis on spearheading our rollout and expansion into the US market. Your goal is to turn complex location and behavioral data into intelligent, monetizable media channels that drive measurable results.
Join a collaborative team of PMs dedicated to the holistic success of our Retail Media Platform. You won't build in a silo; you'll ensure a cohesive, unified roadmap across our data infrastructure and off-site touchpoints, driving a revolution in retail technology on a global scale. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy, Lifecycle Ownership Global Roadmap Own the end-to-end product development process from discovery and ideation to commercial launch and operational readiness.
Define and execute the product roadmap for our data platform, geo-targeting tools, and off-site media capabilities. Spearhead product localization and scaling efforts for international expansion, with a primary focus on the US market rollout. Ensure compliance with regional data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR). Translate business goals into technical specifications, working closely with Sales to validate market fit and with Operations to ensure seamless delivery and support post-launch.
Data Platform Geo-Targeting Development Architect the logic and infrastructure for our advanced geo-targeting tool, enabling precise audience segmentation based on location intelligence and behavioral data. Oversee the development of robust data pipelines capable of processing and analyzing vast amounts of location and transaction data securely and efficiently. Develop features for closed-loop campaign measurement and attribution, linking off-site ad exposure to online or offline transaction data.
AdTech Off-Site Integrations Lead integrations with external AdTech partners, including Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), and Data Management Platforms (DMPs) to facilitate seamless off-site ad delivery. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., OpenRTB, VAST) while adapting them for specialized location-based and off-site media environments. Cross-Functional Collaboration Market Expansion Partner intimately with Sales to understand client needs and define Go-To-Market strategies for new features, ensuring commercial viability.
Collaborate with Operations to build scalable processes for onboarding, campaign execution, and reporting. Act as the primary technical liaison between our engineering team and external partners/brands, especially during international rollouts, translating complex constraints into clear value propositions. The Ideal Candidate Must-Haves: Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of APIs, cloud architecture, and large-scale data pipelines. You are comfortable discussing JSON payloads one minute and global business strategy the next.
End-to-End Ownership: Proven track record of taking products from 0 to 1, managing the entire lifecycle from discovery to commercial rollout. Data AdTech Expertise: Proven experience building data products, audience targeting tools, or working extensively within the AdTech ecosystem (DSPs, DMPs, SSPs). Expansion Mindset: Experience or strong interest in scaling products internationally; an understanding of the nuances and privacy landscapes of the US market is highly desirable.
Data-Driven: Ability to define success metrics (Match Rates, CPM, ROAS, Incrementality) and use data to prioritize features. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with location intelligence or geospatial data analysis. Background in retail media networks or off-site retail media strategies. Familiarity with clean room technologies or advanced attribution modeling. Domain specific expertise is a plus but we will onboard you in case you don’t have it: Experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager, with a specific focus on AdTech, MarTech, or Data Platforms.
Retail Media Knowledge: Understanding of the Retail Media landscape, specifically how off-site media budgets are allocated and measured. Why You'll Enjoy Working Here This role isn’t for everyone - and that’s intentional. We’re building Verve Retail Media from the ground up, reducing legacy structures, places to hide, and “passenger seats”. This is a place for people who want to build, take ownership, and see the direct impact of their work. You won’t be one of many - you’ll be one of the few shaping how this company grows, decides, and wins.
And every role counts - from Office Management to Chief of Staff to this role. If you’re looking for comfort, predictability, or perfectly defined lanes, this probably isn’t your environment. If you’re looking for steep growth, real responsibility, and the chance to work with people who raise your bar - you’ll feel at home here. What you can expect: Real ownership from day one - take decisions, not just tasks A steep learning curve - accelerated growth through real responsibility, not theory High-performing peers - work with ambitious, driven people who challenge and support you Direct impact - your work will shape products, processes, and outcomes in real time Cutting-edge tools - including AI-powered workflows that multiply your output Continuous development - training budget, internal learning formats, and language courses This is a place where expectations are high - and so is the opportunity to grow, contribute, and build something meaningful.
