Senior Product Manager, Technology

Rush Street Interactive

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on bridging product intent with technical execution for a unified gaming platform. You will establish the standards and processes for translating high-level roadmaps into scalable, compliant technical requirements.

What you’d own

  • Solution management frameworks and tools
  • Technical requirement documentation (registration, payments, identity)
  • Cross-functional collaboration between Product, Architecture, and Engineering
  • System-level feasibility assessments and dependency management

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 7+ years of experience in product, engineering, or solution architecture.
  • ✓You can translate product narratives into technical specifications like sequence diagrams.
  • ✓You have experience in highly regulated environments (fintech, gaming, or healthcare).
  • ✓You enjoy building organizational processes and coaching others in systems thinking.

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer pure UX/UI product management without technical architecture involvement.
  • ✗You prefer a role with clearly defined workflows rather than establishing new ones.
  • ✗You are uncomfortable working across multiple markets and distributed teams.

Reading between the lines

  • The requirement to 'establish the solution management function' suggests you will be building the department's playbook from scratch, not just following an existing one.
  • The focus on 'compliance-driven workflows' and 'regulatory requirements' implies a high degree of scrutiny and complexity in the technical implementation.

Full job description

Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) is a market leader in online casino and sports betting, currently operating real-money gaming with our brands: BetRivers.com, PlaySugarHouse.com, and RushBet.co. We’re building bridges between online, social and land-based gaming businesses to create amazing, integrated experiences that keep players in the game. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to connect product intent with technical execution across a unified gaming platform that powers millions of player experiences across our brands.

Working at the intersection of Product and Engineering, this role translates product intent into clear, implementation-ready technical requirements. You will shape how RSI builds software by establishing repeatable patterns for translating product requirements into usable, scalable, performant, and compliant technical solutions. You will define the playbook for collaboration among product managers, architects, and engineers, influencing processes, tooling, and standards across multiple product domains.

What You'll Do: Establish the solution management function, including the frameworks, tools, and standards for turning product roadmap goals into actionable technical requirements across domains. Develop solution design practices with Product, CX, Architecture, and Engineering to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across markets. Involve Data, Compliance, and Design early so their input is reflected in planning. Lead technical product definition for major cross-functional initiatives, writing clear requirements for features spanning registration, identity, payments, promotions, and player engagement systems.

Work with architects to align solutions with our unified architecture strategy, performance objectives, and regulatory requirements. Improve how Product and Engineering work through backlog refinement, dependency management, and system-level feasibility assessments. Coach PMs and engineers in systems thinking, technical requirement writing, and solution planning. Define and track metrics for solution quality, delivery predictability, and business outcomes such as activation and retention, and use the results to improve how we work.

What You'll Bring: 7+ years of experience in product, engineering, or solution architecture roles - ideally in high-scale, regulated environments such as gaming, payments, fintech, or healthcare. Experience building and leading technical product practices at the organizational level, including solution definition, system design, or architecture alignment. A strong business and product mindset, with the ability to understand the organization and work comfortably across product layers, from UX to architecture.

An understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and CI/CD that allows you to contribute to technical discussions with Architecture and Engineering. The ability to translate product intent into clear technical requirements, moving from product narratives to sequence diagrams when needed. A proactive approach to communication and collaboration, bringing different disciplines together and presenting ideas clearly and engagingly, both verbally and in writing.

Experience working in hybrid organizations across multiple markets and globally distributed teams. A hands-on approach to building: you can work through ambiguity, establish clear direction, and create processes that scale. Hands-on familiarity with data privacy, KYC, or compliance-driven workflows is a strong plus. Travelling occasionally, both domestically and internationally. #LI-REMOTE #LI-PROMOTE What Makes Us Great: Comprehensive compensation Work-life balance initiatives Autonomy – we embrace personal freedom and responsibility Creativity – we are open to new ideas of how we can be better Growth – we want you to develop personally as well as professionally Top-notch professionals who are passionate about what they do People-oriented environment and supportive atmosphere As a rapidly growing company in an emerging industry, you’ll have a huge impact on our product and our company.
