Parse Biosciences makes single cell sequencing kits that researchers use to profile gene expression one cell at a time. Its Evercode chemistry does the cell barcoding in a plate rather than inside a microfluidic device, which lets a lab run very large experiments, across hundreds of samples and millions of cells, on instruments it already owns. Customers are academic labs, core sequencing facilities, and pharma research groups, and the company says its tools are in use in over 1,000 labs. It is headquartered in Seattle and has raised through a Series C. Parse also ships Trailmaker, a hosted analysis product, so there is a software roadmap sitting alongside the reagents and lab workflow.
