Location Type: Remote Location: US - Remote Employment Type: FullTime Department: Product Management Compensation: $163,050 – $217,400 • Offers Equity HELP US TACKLE THE GROWING WILDFIRE CRISIS WITH THE LATEST ADVANCEMENTS IN AI AND IOT WHO WE ARE The problem: Every minute matters in fire response. As climate change amplifies the intensity of wildfires—with longer fire seasons, dryer fuels, and faster winds—new ignitions spread faster and put more communities at risk. Today, most wildfires are detected by bystanders and reported via 911, meaning it can take hours to detect a fire, verify its exact location and size, and dispatch first responders. Fire authorities need a faster way to detect, confirm, and pinpoint fires so that they can quickly respond—preventing small flare-ups from becoming devastating infernos. About Pano: We are a 175+ person growth-stage hybrid-remote start-up, headquartered in San Francisco. We are the leader in early wildfire detection and intelligence, helping fire professionals respond to fires faster and more safely—with the right equipment, timely information, and enhanced coordination—so that they can stop a new ignition before it grows. Pano AI combines advanced hardware, software, and artificial intelligence into an easy-to-use, web-based platform. Leveraging a network of ultra-high-definition, 360-degree cameras atop high vantage points, as well as satellite and other data feeds, Pano AI produces a real-time picture of threats in a geographic region and delivers immediate, actionable intelligence. Learn more at https://www.pano.ai/. THE ROLE As a Senior/Staff Product Manager at Pano AI, you will own and scale a critical component of our wildfire intelligence platform. Our technology enables emergency managers, utilities, and first responders to detect and respond to wildfires in near real time as climate risk and the Wildland Urban Interface continue to expand. You will take full ownership of a key product domain such as detection workflows, alerting systems, geospatial visualization layers, or emerging product lines. This is not a feature execution role. You will define the problem space, set strategy, prioritize tradeoffs, and drive outcomes end to end in close partnership with engineering, design, customer success, operations, sales, and executive leadership. This role offers true domain ownership at company scale. You will operate with executive visibility and meaningful autonomy, shaping products that directly protect lives and infrastructure. As Pano continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to drive major initiatives, influence company direction, and advance your career based on impact rather than tenure. For product leaders motivated by mission, energized by building in fast scaling environments, and ready to move beyond incremental feature work, this role provides both purpose and accelerated growth. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Own a critical product domain end to end, defining the problem space, success metrics, roadmap, and execution strategy. - Define and manage the entire product lifecycle from discovery and research through development, detailed specifications, launch, and post launch optimization. - Lead customer discovery efforts, including direct interviews, data analysis, and field feedback, to validate opportunities and inform prioritization. - Drive strategic initiatives that improve detection speed, alert relevance, geospatial clarity, or overall workflow efficiency for customers. - Make nuanced product trade off decisions grounded in user journeys, technical constraints, and long term platform strategy. - Present clearly and confidently in leadership forums, bringing structured thinking and evidence based recommendations. - Partner cross functionally with engineering, design, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations to ensure alignment from concept through delivery and adoption. - Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, including potential zero to one product initiatives as the company expands its product portfolio. - Monitor product performance using quantitative and qualitative data to continuously improve outcomes and user experience. - Elevate the product team by mentoring others, contributing beyond your immediate domain, and raising the bar for product thinking across the organization. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 6 to 10 plus years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of a meaningful product surface area or platform component. - A track record of launching impactful products or major capabilities, ideally from early research through execution and adoption. - Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions respectfully and back decisions with data and customer insight. - Experience operating in ambiguous, fast growing, or startup environments where you have worn multiple hats. - Comfort presenting to and collaborating with executive leadership. - Strong customer discovery skills and the ability to translate insights into clear problem statements and actionable roadmaps. - High EQ, humility, and empathy. We operate with a no jerk policy and value collaboration over ego. - The ability to learn quickly and develop technical fluency in areas such as geospatial data, mapping, AI powered detection, or alerting systems. NICE TO HAVE - Experience working on geospatial, mapping, monitoring, observability, or alerting products. - Experience building or contributing to zero to one product initiatives. - Entrepreneurial or startup founder experience. - Experience building AI powered products or data intensive platforms. - Experience in climate tech, public safety, gov tech, infrastructure tech, or mission driven technology. - A passion for climate resilience, wildfire prevention, environmental protection, or public safety. Final compensation for full-time employees is determined by a variety of factors, including job-related qualifications, education, experience, skills, knowledge, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, full-time roles are eligible for stock options. Our benefits package also includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a matching 401(k) plan, and flexible paid time off.
