Full job description
Location: Remote - US & Canada (see posting for locations) Department: Product Management Staff Product Manager, AI PlatformThe Opportunity: Define the Future of Agentic AI in the Enterprise Invoca is an AI-powered revenue execution platform that brings together marketing, commerce, and contact center teams to turn every customer interaction into measurable, profitable growth. Join our dynamic, fast-growing team, where innovation and collaboration are at the core of our culture. By revealing intent across voice, SMS, and digital channels, Invoca helps enterprises drive better customer experiences, increase revenue, and operate with confidence at scale. We are a fast-growing company defined by a strong product culture, deep technical ambition, and a commitment to building AI systems that are reliable, transparent, and outcome-driven. Join us to build the core intelligence layer for one of the most innovative enterprise platforms in the market.Build the Foundation for Agentic AI at Scale Invoca is building a shared AI Platform that powers every AI-driven product and every agentic experience we continue to deliver. This foundational platform is the execution layer behind Voice AI, SMS Agents, Signals, Scoring, and emerging copilots. This is a rare and critical opportunity to define how agentic AI actually runs in production inside an enterprise SaaS company. You will own the execution layer—from orchestration and context to governance, evaluation, and developer experience. Your work will determine not just what Invoca’s AI can do, but how safely, consistently, and efficiently it does it at scale. The AI Platform Team The AI Platform team builds the shared systems that empower product teams across Invoca to ship AI-powered experiences with confidence. We operate at the intersection of infrastructure, applied AI, and product design, focusing on: Agent execution and orchestration Context management and grounding Evaluation, observability, and quality control Governance, safety, and multi-tenant isolation Developer and product experiences that scale across teams Our success is measured by the leverage we create: how many teams can build on the platform, how safely they can innovate, and how quickly high-quality AI experiences reach customers.Your Role and Impact As a Staff Product Manager, AI Platform, you will own the product vision and roadmap for Invoca’s agentic AI platform—the foundational layer that runs, governs, and evolves AI agents across channels and products. This role requires deep technical judgment and a strong systems mindset. You will focus on the architectural and experience boundaries of the platform, not just a single AI feature or agent. You will operate as a senior individual contributor reporting to the VP of Product, with broad influence across engineering, data, security, and product teams. Success requires strong systems thinking, platform judgment, and the ability to balance cutting-edge innovation with enterprise-grade trust. What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) Drive Strategy: Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for Invoca’s AI Platform, aligning technical foundations with company-level AI principles around reliability, safety, and measurable outcomes. Define Execution: Establish how AI agents execute in production, including orchestration patterns, tool invocation semantics, context handling, and behavior across asynchronous and real-time environments. Architect Contracts: Establish clear, durable platform contracts—APIs, configuration schemas, versioned artifacts—that make agent behavior portable, governable, and scalable across products and channels. Partner for Scale: Collaborate deeply with AI engineering and data teams to translate agentic patterns into reliable systems, making principled tradeoffs across reasoning quality, latency, cost, and operational complexity. Enable Adoption: Drive standardization through paved roads, golden paths, SDKs, and shared components that reduce bespoke implementations and accelerate internal adoption. Enforce Quality: Define and enforce platform-level quality, safety, and governance mechanisms, including evaluation workflows, promotion gates, observability, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and auditability. Shape Experience: Shape the developer and product experience for building, testing, debugging, and operating AI agents, ensuring the platform is intuitive, debuggable, and trusted by internal teams. Guide Evolution: Guide the evolution from an internal platform to a product-grade system, informing customer-facing configuration and studio experiences without compromising guardrails, privacy, or reliability. Make Build/Buy Decisions: Evaluate build vs. buy decisions for foundational AI infrastructure and guide vendor integrations behind stable, well-defined platform contracts. Measure Success: Define success metrics for the AI Platform and continuously measure impact through adoption, reuse, quality, performance, and cost efficiency. Stay Current: Stay current on advancements in agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, and evaluation best practices, translating signal into pragmatic product decisions rather than chasing hype. What You'll Bring (Core Qualifications) Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent building platforms, infrastructure, or developer-facing products used by other teams. Technical Foundation: Background in engineering, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience building and operating complex software systems. System Knowledge: Strong systems-level understanding of AI-powered and distributed systems, including LLM-based agents, multi-step workflows, retrieval, and tool calling—sufficient to reason about execution models and failure modes without writing production code. Contract Definition: Demonstrated experience defining and scaling platform contracts, including APIs, configuration models, versioning strategies, and lifecycle management. Governance Standards: Proven ability to introduce standards, governance, and quality controls in ways that accelerate product velocity rather than constrain it. Quality Focus: Deep appreciation for evaluation, observability, and regression testing as first-class requirements for AI systems. Enterprise Awareness: Experience operating in enterprise, multi-tenant environments where privacy, security, compliance, and auditability are core design constraints. Developer Empathy: Strong instincts for developer experience, including the use of golden paths, tooling, and defaults to drive adoption and reduce fragmentation. Tradeoff Mastery: Track record of making hard tradeoffs across latency, cost, quality, and reliability in complex, distributed systems. Influence: Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to align engineering, data science, product, and Go-To-Market (GTM) stakeholders around shared platform goals. Desirable, But Not Required Experience with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, ReAct-style systems) or standardized tool invocation models (e.g., MCP). Familiarity with real-time systems such as voice, streaming, or low-latency inference. Background in enterprise SaaS or compliance-heavy domains.
