Head of Product
Finite StateThis Head of Product role leads the product organization for a security platform focused on connected devices and embedded systems. You will oversee strategy, pricing, and team growth for an enterprise B2B SaaS offering.
What you’d own
- Multi-year product strategy and roadmap tied to retention and expansion
- Packaging, pricing models, and gross margin optimization for AI capabilities
- Security research-to-product pipeline and technical trade-off decisions
- Product organization hiring, development, and operating cadence
Who it’s for
A fit if you…
- ✓10+ years in product management with 4+ years leading teams in B2B SaaS
- ✓Experience building products for technical buyers like engineers or security practitioners
- ✓Proven track record of shipping platform capabilities that drive measurable revenue growth
- ✓Comfortable navigating complex regulatory requirements and high-accuracy technical requirements
Not for you if…
- ✗You prefer a pure product role without responsibility for pricing, margin, or board reporting
- ✗You prefer simple SaaS models over complex deployment types like on-premise or air-gapped
- ✗You are uncomfortable managing the transition from a growth-stage company to enterprise scale
Reading between the lines
- The mention of 'air-gapped' and 'government entities' suggests a high bar for security compliance and complex deployment logistics.
- Requirement for 'defense of roadmap to board' and 'investor communication' implies high visibility and accountability for the role.
- Focus on 'gross margin impact' and 'AI compute costs' indicates a need for business-savvy product leadership beyond just feature shipping.

Customers want platforms that reduce manual work, produce defensible evidence, and fit into how their teams already operate. We are entering our next stage of growth. The Head of Product will help decide which bets we make, sequencing them against market and regulatory timing, and making sure every release shows up in retention, expansion, win rate, and margin. What you'll own Strategy and business Product strategy and roadmap. Deployment model strategy. Own decisions across SaaS, on-premises, and air-gapped deployment, balancing customer requirements against engineering cost and operational complexity. AI product direction and governance. Define where automation and AI agents act on their own, where a human stays in the loop, and how every automated decision stays explainable and auditable. Set clear policy on data residency, model training on customer data, and resistance to prompt injection and model misuse.
Integrations and ecosystem. Own the integration strategy across SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms, and product requirements for channel partners, MSSPs, systems integrators, and cloud marketplaces. Regulatory translation. Turn security frameworks and regulatory requirements into capabilities customers can rely on in front of auditors, regulators, and their own boards.
