Senior Product Manager, Credit & Pricing

Affirm

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on credit pricing strategy and underwriting for a consumer finance company. You will lead the expansion into new verticals and manage loan economics across global merchant partnerships.

What you’d own

  • Credit pricing strategy and loan economics
  • Consumer credit and merchant pricing products
  • Product specs and prototypes for financing terms
  • Cross-team initiatives like international expansion

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 4+ years of experience in consumer finance, payments, or underwriting.
  • ✓You are highly analytical and use quantitative data to drive product decisions.
  • ✓You can operate autonomously and are comfortable with an experimental 'test and learn' approach.

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer a highly structured environment with clear, pre-defined roadmaps (the role requires operating autonomously).
  • ✗You lack experience in machine learning models or complex financial underwriting.
  • ✗You prefer working in a silo; this role requires heavy collaboration across legal, capital, and commercial teams.

Reading between the lines

  • The mention of 'underwriting' and 'loan economics' suggests you will be dealing with high-stakes risk management and complex mathematical modeling.
  • The requirement to 'partner with a wide variety of teams' including legal and capital implies significant internal stakeholder management and navigating complex regulatory constraints.
