Staff Product Manager - Data Protection

Zscaler

This Staff Product Manager role focuses on the security domain, specifically leading the vision and execution for Data Security capabilities including Web and Email DLP within a large-scale cloud security platform.

What you’d own

  • End-to-end lifecycle for Web DLP and Email DLP
  • Product requirements based on market research and customer feedback
  • Go-to-market plans and sales enablement activities
  • Data classification products using AI-based methods

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security product management.
  • ✓You have deep expertise in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data classification.
  • ✓You possess a strong technical foundation in Proxy, CASB, or DSPM technologies.
  • ✓You are comfortable navigating high levels of ambiguity to build out roadmaps.

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer highly defined processes over 'building the path as you walk it'.
  • ✗You prefer a pure-play product role without sales enablement or GTM responsibilities.
  • ✗You lack experience with complex security infrastructure like proxy or endpoint agents.

Reading between the lines

  • The emphasis on 'running toward challenges' and 'thriving in ambiguity' suggests a high degree of autonomy but also significant pressure to solve undefined problems quickly.
  • The requirement for both technical depth (engineering background) and sales enablement indicates a role that bridges the gap between deep engineering and commercial execution.
