Technical Product Manager

Xpansiv

This Technical Product Manager role involves leading the design and delivery of registry software for environmental market commodities. You will manage the full lifecycle from conceptualizing business ideas to engineering execution.

What you’d own

  • Registry software supporting renewables, carbon, fuels, and plastics
  • Product specifications including functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Project portfolio sequencing and success metric definition
  • Client-facing workshops and UAT coordination

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 5+ years of experience in SaaS product management
  • ✓You possess a technical background in IT, Systems Administration, or Computer Science
  • ✓You are comfortable leading client-facing business development and scope facilitation
  • ✓You can translate complex business concepts into actionable feature requests and wireframes

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer a purely internal-facing role without direct client interaction
  • ✗You lack experience in high-stakes, regulated markets like ESG or carbon
  • ✗You prefer a hands-off approach to engineering execution and project management

Reading between the lines

  • The requirement to 'distill a feature request into its underlying functionality' suggests you will need to act as a technical translator between non-technical clients and engineers.
  • The emphasis on 'client-facing workshops' and 'business development' implies this is a heavy stakeholder management role, not just a pure product discovery role.
  • A requirement for 'working knowledge of IT systems' and SQL/NoSQL suggests you will be expected to participate in deep technical architectural discussions.
