Ukio rents fully furnished, design-led apartments by the month across Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris and Milan, aimed at people relocating or working somewhere for a season rather than a weekend. It books direct through its own site and app, serves companies placing employees as well as individual renters, and works with apartment owners who put units into the network. Founded in Barcelona in 2020 by brothers Stanley and Jeremy Fourteau, previously at Airbnb, Headspace and Knotel, it reached roughly 1,000 apartments by 2024 and raised a Series B in 2025. The interesting stretch for a product manager is the 2026 move beyond rentals into buying and selling, which turns a booking flow into a full housing platform.
