Associate Product Manager

Switch

This Associate Product Manager role sits at the intersection of customer implementation and AI/ML product development within a high-growth marketing technology startup.

What you’d own

  • Software implementation and client onboarding
  • AI training cycles and data fidelity monitoring
  • Customer feedback loops with engineering teams
  • Machine-learning product roadmap automation concepts

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • You have 1-3 years of management consulting experience
  • You have a background in analytics, data science, or computer science
  • You enjoy technical sales and client-facing relationship management

Not for you if…

  • You prefer pure product discovery over heavy customer support and implementation work
  • You want a slow-paced environment with clearly defined, non-overlapping boundaries
  • You are looking for a role without an apprenticeship or mentorship structure

Reading between the lines

  • The 'apprenticeship' and 'working in the weeds' phrasing implies you will be doing high-volume execution tasks (support/manual implementation) to learn the business.
  • The mention of 20x growth targets suggests a high-pressure environment with significant scale requirements.
  • The requirement for consulting experience suggests they value structured communication and slide-based reporting over pure technical skills.

Switch is a marketing performance platform that trains AI and machine learning on a company's first-party data to improve cross-channel ROI, aligning marketing, sales, and finance data across online and offline touchpoints. It offers lead scoring, LTV prediction, propensity modeling, and incrementality measurement for industries like banking, healthcare, retail, insurance, and ecommerce. The product is invite-only and positioned as a certified partner to strategic accounts at Google, Meta, and Amazon, with a focus on privacy and first-party data standards (SOC, GDPR). Founded in 2021 in Toronto by an ex-Googler and two engineers, Switch is a small, remote-first team, which could suit a PM who wants meaningful ownership over an AI-driven martech product.
