Product Owner , Intermediate - Remote US

Smile Digital Health

This Product Manager role focuses on the technical execution of a healthcare data platform. You will bridge the gap between market strategy and engineering by managing backlogs, sprint cycles, and complex data integrations.

What you’d own

  • Translating market strategies into actionable development plans
  • Managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and tracking team velocity
  • Resolving technical roadblocks for the engineering team

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 6+ years of experience in technical product management or ownership
  • ✓You possess a deep understanding of software architecture and data vocabulary
  • ✓You enjoy translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • ✓You are comfortable working within established Agile and Scrum frameworks

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer high-level market research over detailed execution and backlog management
  • ✗You prefer a role without heavy emphasis on technical data standards (FHIR, HL7, APIs)
  • ✗You prefer a less structured environment; this role follows a specific 'Product Realization Process'

Reading between the lines

  • The distinction between 'Product Manager' and 'Technical Product Manager' suggests you will be the primary shield for engineers against shifting market requirements.
  • The heavy emphasis on technical standards (FHIR, HL7, ETL) implies a high degree of complexity in data mapping and integration.
