POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking an Insights Product Manager who brings deep construction industry knowledge and is eager to transition into product management. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the construction industry working with project data, analytics, scheduling systems, and CPM methodologies. You'll work closely with our Head of Product, engineering, design, and GTM teams to build analytics and dashboarding features that solve real problems for construction professionals. This role is perfect for someone who has been the power user of scheduling software, has driven process improvements, and wants to build the tools they wish existed in the field. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Product Vision: Define and execute the insights and dashboarding roadmap, translating complex construction data needs into intuitive reporting and visualization features. - Domain Expertise: Serve as the construction industry expert on the product team, ensuring our analytics products solve real field and project management challenges. - Customer Research: Engage directly with general contractors, schedulers, and project teams to understand their data workflows, pain points, and reporting requirements. - Requirements Definition: Translate construction workflows and data needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications for engineering teams. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality analytics features, providing context on construction industry standards and practices. - Data Analysis: Work with internal and customer data to identify patterns, validate product decisions, and measure feature adoption and impact. - Go-To-Market Support: Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to position analytics features, create compelling demos, and support customer onboarding. - Product Learning: Develop product management skills and best practices while contributing deep construction domain knowledge to the team. QUALIFICATIONS: - Construction Experience: 5+ years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on data, analytics, reporting, or business intelligence for project teams. - Scheduling Expertise: Deep understanding of construction scheduling, Critical Path Method (CPM), and project planning methodologies (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar). - Data Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with construction project data, creating reports, dashboards, or analytics for project stakeholders. - Process Optimization: Track record of improving workflows, implementing software tools, or driving data-driven decision making within construction organizations. - Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working with software tools, learning new systems quickly, and understanding how data flows through construction tech stacks. - Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, gather requirements, and propose solutions that balance user needs with technical feasibility. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for field teams and construction concepts for engineering teams. - Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams, from field personnel to executives. - Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn product management best practices, software development processes, and SaaS business models. - Bonus: Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or other BI tools; familiarity with construction ERP systems (Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.); or previous exposure to product management or software development.
