Percona
1 open role
Percona provides enterprise-grade open source database software plus 24x7 support, managed operations (ExpertOps), consulting, and training for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, and Valkey/Redis. Its pitch is running these databases free of proprietary licensing and vendor lock-in across on-prem, cloud, and Kubernetes, and it backs that with engineers who help customers like Ryanair, BBVA, and Trend Micro keep databases healthy in production. The business runs on support, services, and its open tooling (PMM, Percona Toolkit) rather than closed licenses, and it has grown into a bootstrapped, profitable company without outside investment. Percona is remote-only and lets employees choose the hours that suit them, with a stated customer-first, opinionated 'unshittification' culture.
