Position Description: PAR Technology is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Product Management to lead our Hardware Product Management organization. This leader will own the Drive-Thru product portfolio, including current and next-generation solutions, while managing and developing a team of Product Managers responsible for PAR's broader hardware portfolio. This role will define product strategy, drive roadmap execution, ensure product-market fit, and deliver profitable growth across the hardware business. The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, deep experience with connected hardware solutions, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex product development and commercialization efforts. The Director will serve as the single accountable leader for Hardware Product Management and a key member of the Hardware Leadership Team.   Position Location: Remote - New York, Texas, Philadelphia, Florida, North Carolina, Minnesota, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois   Reports To: Senior Director, Hardware   What We’re Looking For: · Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. · 10+ years of Product Management experience. · 5+ years of experience leading Product Managers and product organizations. · Demonstrated success managing complex hardware and technology product portfolios.   Preferred qualifications: · Experience in restaurant technology, drive-thru solutions, retail technology, POS systems, or connected hardware platforms. · Experience launching embedded or IoT-based products. · Familiarity with SaaS, cloud-connected hardware ecosystems, and subscription business models. · MBA or advanced technical degree. · Experience working with global manufacturing, supply chain, and ODM/OEM partners.   What you'll be doing:   Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership · Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and business performance for PAR's Drive-Thru product portfolio. · Define and execute long-term growth strategies for next-generation Drive-Thru solutions and supporting ecosystems. · Lead portfolio planning across hardware product lines, balancing innovation, customer demand, revenue growth, margin performance, and operational feasibility. · Leverage AI tools to synthesize customer and market insights, accelerate product requirements and roadmap analysis, and improve portfolio decision-making.   Drive-Thru Business Ownership · Serve as the executive product leader for Drive-Thru solutions, including current and future platforms. · Drive market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement, and product positioning activities. · Translate customer pain points and market opportunities into actionable product requirements and commercial strategies. · Monitor product performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve adoption, customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.   Product Team Leadership · Lead, mentor, and develop the Hardware Product Management team. · Establish scalable product management processes, tools, and best practices. · Drive accountability, prioritization, and execution across the product organization. · Create career development plans and succession strategies for Product Managers. · Foster a customer-obsessed, data-driven, and execution-focused culture.   Product Development & Execution · Partner closely with Engineering and Project Management to ensure successful delivery of hardware and software-enabled solutions. · Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept through launch and sustainment. · Ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with customer and business objectives. · Participate in go-to-market planning and launch readiness activities. · Act as the voice of the customer and business throughout product development.   Financial & Business Performance · Own product business performance by monitoring revenue, margin, adoption, and customer satisfaction metrics. · Develop forecasts and investment recommendations for executive leadership. · Identify revenue growth opportunities through new products, services, and adjacent market expansion. · Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, roadmap planning, and go-to-market execution. · Experience building business cases and managing products with P&L responsibility. · Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills. · Proven ability to lead through influence across cross-functional organizations.   Interview Process: - Interview #1: Video Screen with Talent Acquisition Team - Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams) - Interview #3: Video interview with the Team (via MS Teams) - Interview #4: Video interview with Senior Leadership (via MS Teams) PAR is proud to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
