Forward Deployed Product Manager

Hightouch

This Product Manager role focuses on AI/ML capabilities within a marketing platform. You will act as the primary bridge between customers and engineering to translate front-line needs into technical requirements.

What you’d own

  • Conducting deep discovery to validate customer pain points
  • Managing pilot programs to drive deal closure
  • Translating complex features into actionable technical requirements
  • Training and onboarding customers on AI tools

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • You have strong project management skills for running pilots
  • You can translate complex technical details for non-technical users
  • You enjoy deep discovery to uncover core workflow mechanics
  • You can learn and master new products quickly

Not for you if…

  • You prefer a purely internal-facing product role
  • You want to avoid high-touch customer interaction or training
  • You prefer stable, well-defined requirements over 'uncharted territory'

Reading between the lines

  • The term 'Forward Deployed' and the focus on 'pilot programs' suggest a role with heavy involvement in sales enablement and customer success.
  • The requirement to 'proactively uncover' use cases suggests high autonomy and a need for self-driven initiative.

About Hightouch

See all roles →

Hightouch is a reverse ETL and customer data platform that syncs data from cloud data warehouses directly into the business tools that teams actually use — Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze, Intercom, Facebook Ads, and hundreds more. It lets data and marketing teams define customer segments and audiences in SQL or a no-code builder, then activate that data in downstream systems without building custom pipelines. The company pioneered the reverse ETL category alongside Census and has grown rapidly as the modern data stack ecosystem matured. Hightouch is venture-backed and has expanded from reverse ETL into a broader composable CDP offering.
