Patients enter their insurance and zip code to find in-network providers and book within days, often at low or no cost per session, while Headway handles billing, credentialing, and payments for the providers. Founded in 2018, it operates in all 50 states with tens of thousands of providers and is expanding into Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. The company raised a $100M Series D in 2024 at a $2.3B valuation, backed by Spark Capital, Thrive, Accel, and a16z, with a mission-driven, ownership-oriented culture.
