Technical Product Manager

Empower

This Product Manager role focuses on technical infrastructure within a fintech environment, specifically managing platforms for generative AI, decisioning, personalization, and experimentation capabilities.

What you’d own

  • Technical platform roadmaps including feature definition and prioritization
  • Data pipelines, decisioning policies, and data contracts
  • Agile ceremonies, backlog management, and sprint planning
  • Platform governance, SLAs, and performance monitoring

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have 5+ years of experience in technical or platform-focused roles
  • ✓You can translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
  • ✓You are comfortable evaluating system tradeoffs, APIs, and cloud integrations
  • ✓You have a background in machine learning, data pipelines, or experimentation

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer consumer-facing product work over backend infrastructure/platform work
  • ✗You prefer high-level strategy over detailed technical requirements and documentation
  • ✗You are looking for a role without heavy cross-functional coordination with data science teams

Reading between the lines

  • The emphasis on 'decisioning,' 'SLAs,' and 'data contracts' suggests a highly technical, engineering-heavy workflow.
  • The mention of 'governance' and 'compliance processes' implies a regulated environment where speed may be balanced by strict protocols.
