Cycles is building an open, decentralized clearing protocol that uses graph algorithms to net out webs of debts and obligations, letting parties settle the most transactions using the least capital, in any currency or credit. It is aimed at financial market participants like market makers, prime brokers, and exchanges, and plans to launch a stablecoin (Cycles Pay) and a Prime network with anchor partners. Spun out of Informal Systems in 2025 and co-founded by Cosmos and Tendermint co-founder Ethan Buchman, it is an early, research-heavy crypto-infrastructure company. For a PM, this is deep protocol and financial-plumbing work rather than conventional app product management.
