Sr. Product Manager - ClickStack

ClickHouse

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on infrastructure and observability products. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of telemetry systems, onboarding workflows, and integrations within a complex technical ecosystem.

What you’d own

  • Observability product areas including alerting and anomaly detection
  • Telemetry ingestion and integration ecosystems (OpenTelemetry)
  • Onboarding experience and migration from existing platforms
  • Technical prototyping and user-zero environment setup

Who it’s for

A fit if you…

  • ✓You have a track record in the observability SaaS space
  • ✓You possess deep technical depth in pipelines, APIs, and infrastructure
  • ✓You prefer a hands-on style involving debugging and prototyping
  • ✓You are comfortable engaging with enterprise customers and open source communities

Not for you if…

  • ✗You prefer high-level requirements over technical deep-dives into schemas and queries
  • ✗You prefer stable, clearly defined boundaries over dynamic priority shifts
  • ✗You prefer a non-technical product role without 'user 0' responsibilities

Reading between the lines

  • The requirement to be 'user 0' and build prototypes suggests a lean engineering culture where PMs must bridge the gap between design and implementation.
  • Mention of 'dynamic environment' and 'changing priorities' implies a high-velocity pace with significant ambiguity in the roadmap.

Full job description

ClickHouse is looking for a Product Manager to join the ClickStack team and own major parts of the product end to end.

This is a hands-on product role. You’ll work directly with customers, use and instrument the product yourself, develop a deep understanding of the underlying systems, and turn that understanding into a shipped product. Initial focus areas are likely to include ClickStack onboarding and cloud workflows, alerting, and the broader telemetry ingestion and integration ecosystem.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own major observability product areas from customer discovery through product definition, delivery, adoption, and iteration.
  • Take ownership of areas such as alerting, anomaly detection, onboarding, provisioning, and telemetry integrations.
  • Work directly with customers and prospects to understand observability use cases, migration requirements, operational workflows, and emerging needs.
  • Improve the end-to-end onboarding experience, including getting telemetry into ClickStack, configuring the product, and migrating from existing observability platforms.
  • Drive integrations across the observability ecosystem, including OpenTelemetry and common cloud, infrastructure, and logging sources.
  • Act as user 0. Set up environments yourself, instrument applications, send telemetry, reproduce customer workflows, and use the product at a meaningful scale.
  • Work closely with engineering and design, including prototyping workflows yourself when useful rather than relying exclusively on written requirements.
  • Design end-to-end observability experiences with both engineers and AI agents as first-class users.
  • Coordinate broadly across teams and products where ClickStack depends on or integrates with other parts of the ClickHouse ecosystem and external products.
  • Work across product boundaries to shape cohesive experiences spanning ClickStack, ClickHouse Cloud, and complementary products and integrations.
  • Stay close to customers after shipping and use adoption, product data, and direct feedback to determine what needs to improve next.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience driving an observability product or platform in a similar-stage or later-stage company.
  • A proven track record of shipping successful products in the observability SaaS space.
  • Strong technical depth. You’re comfortable moving from a user workflow into telemetry pipelines, APIs, schemas, queries, databases, and infrastructure when necessary.
  • A hands-on working style. You’re comfortable deploying software, instrumenting applications, debugging integrations, querying data, and ideally building prototypes or contributing code.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into concrete product decisions.
  • Comfort working directly with technical users and enterprise customers, including during migrations and complex evaluations.
  • Comfort operating in a dynamic environment where priorities, ownership boundaries, and the problems that need attention can change quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with engineering, design, customers, field teams, and leadership.
  • Experience working with and enabling a large and diverse sales team, supporting enterprise customers and complex sales cycles.
  • Experience engaging with open source communities, including managing community expectations and incorporating community-driven input and contributions.
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and the broader observability ecosystem.

About ClickHouse

See all roles →

ClickHouse is an open-source, column-oriented OLAP database built for sub-second analytical queries over petabyte-scale data, offered both as the original OSS engine and as a managed cloud service. It's used for real-time analytics, observability (via the ClickStack open-source stack), and increasingly as the storage layer behind AI and agentic systems — customers include Anthropic, Cloudflare, Meta, Sony, eBay, Spotify, Vercel, and thousands more. The company is fully remote with employees in 10+ countries, recently acquired Langfuse to expand into LLM observability, and notes that 40% of its leadership team is women. For PMs, it's one of the more interesting data infrastructure companies riding the AI workload curve.
