Location: Remote, US Department: G & A : BTT : Product Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. Toast is looking for a Principal Product Manager to support our Sales and Marketing teams. You will transform and build out business processes using technology and systems, acting as the interface between our various functional teams, our engineering team, and our R D counterparts. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their challenges, help identify potential solutions, and translate business requirements into functional requirements leveraging, and working with the technical team to deliver solutions. You will work closely with our Business and Engineering teams to design and build optimal solutions for our systems and applications to scale our flexibility and offerings.You will be an expert on how data flows in our system, and be able to articulate solutions that are simple and accurate. You will play a critical role in driving our strategy to build scalable processes that can power and support our exponential growth as the leading player in restaurant technology. A day in the life (Responsibilities) Interface daily with stakeholders and engineering partners, bridging the gap between the business value and technical support systems Own and deliver outcomes for high-impact strategic initiatives, from design to measured results Partner with engineering teams and end users to ensure designs meet requirements and provide scalable solutions with a focus on user experience and speed to delivery Deeply understand timelines and options utilizing both technical dependencies and near term business goals based on your intimate understanding of the outcome Organize ambiguous ideas and targets into detailed functional requirements, providing point of view feedback on prioritization and criticality based on deep business understanding Navigate the complexity of fast moving processes, recognize and advocate for best practices that will serve us long term over easy solutions to individual problems Own a product roadmap and effectively work with business stakeholders to refine priorities and communicate status What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) 8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in a systems or technical scope Experience with Salesforce and platform integration is required Experience with sales and marketing platforms (Salesforce Sales Cloud, Braze, Territory management software etc) preferred Highly experienced enabling Sales and Marketing system improvements/initiatives Strong advocate for simplicity and user experience Demonstrated experience of solving complex problems using a data-driven approach Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business and technical languages AI at Toast At Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
