Included within the ThriveCart platform is a learning management system (LMS), affiliate management, cart and checkout functionality, making it a top solution for creators, coaches, consultants, and other businesses. We integrate with everything you use and have a simple, clean UI with numerous features that allow customers to build income from existing traffic and we are the highest-converting cart for online businesses. Our business is growing, profitable, and backed by LTV SaaS Growth Funds, and we are looking to expand our footprint amongst online businesses. Location: Remote (EU) Job Overview: We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Product Manager – Payments to lead the development, optimization, and scale of our global payments infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving core payment functionality, expanding payment method options, improving checkout experiences, and ensuring reliability, security, and compliance across the payments stack. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, compliance, operations, and customer success to ensure our merchants have a seamless and trusted payment experience—whether they’re selling digital products, subscriptions, or services. Key Responsibilities: Own and execute the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for ThriveCart’s payments ecosystem (e.g., checkout, payment gateways, transaction routing, fraud, refunds, treasury, and reconciliation). Define, prioritize, and deliver features that improve conversion rates, reduce friction, and support global scalability. Partner with engineering and design to deliver high-quality user experiences and robust back-end systems. Integrate and maintain third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net) and explore new options (e.g., local payment methods, wallets, and bank debits). Ensure all payment solutions meet regulatory requirements (PCI, PSD2, SCA, etc.). Monitor performance, adoption, and reliability of payment systems using data and user feedback. Collaborate with customer success and support to identify and resolve user pain points related to payments. Stay informed about global payment trends, technologies, and fintech regulations, and bring ideas forward that align with ThriveCart’s growth. Required Skills: Proven track record of building and scaling payments systems in a SaaS, fintech, or eCommerce environment. Deep understanding of payment infrastructure, including gateway integrations, card networks, fraud prevention, settlements, and chargebacks. Strong technical fluency—comfortable working closely with engineers and interpreting API documentation. Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills. Strong data-driven mindset—you understand what to track, how to measure it, and how to use insights to iterate quickly. 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally with direct ownership over payment products or platforms. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline) preferred but not required. Equivalent practical experience in product management, payments, or fintech may substitute for formal education. Certifications in product management (e.g., Pragmatic, AIPMM, or CSPO) or fintech/payments (e.g., ETA CPP) are a plus but not mandatory. Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions. Experience with global payment methods, subscriptions, recurring billing, or tax compliance tools. Experience with payments orchestration systems and/or treasury systems is considered a plus.
