Location Type: Remote Location: Canada Remote; United States Employment Type: FullTime Department: Product Management About Miovision: At Miovision, we’re unlocking transportation networks that move you. Our vision and mission is to enable smart, fast, safe communities that simply flow, as we drive the Intelligent Mobility Revolution. Backed by the world’s most advanced traffic AI, Miovision’s innovations in traffic signal planning and operations are making it possible for cities to improve the transportation experience for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. Our values drive us. They’re at the core of everything we do. If they align with yours, proceed through the GREEN light! - All in to win: We're driven by a winning mindset, approaching every challenge with intensity, clarity, and speed. - One Miovision: We succeed as one team, uniting diverse talents, building on trust, and putting our shared mission before ego. - Be better every day: We're committed to continuous growth, staying curious, building mastery, and embracing challenges as learning opportunities. - Make it happen: We are proactive and results-driven, taking ownership, acting with urgency, and focusing on solutions that deliver real impact. - Earn the customer: We are deeply customer-centric, focused on earning our customers' partnership every day by delivering exceptional experiences that drive their success. Position Summary: We are seeking a visionary Product Director of App Services to lead a critical business unit during a period of strategic expansion. Initially, you will oversee our flagship portfolio of software-driven solutions—managing high-growth business lines centered on priority control, advanced sensing, and automated system optimization. However, this role is designed for a leader who scales. While your immediate focus is on our current core vertical, you will be the primary architect responsible for building a centralized App Services framework that will eventually support our entire global enterprise software ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Business Unit Leadership & Strategy - Directly manage a high-performing team of product leaders across several core business lines, including mission-critical priority systems and detection technologies. - Own the P&L and strategic roadmap for our App Services division, ensuring the successful delivery of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and hardware-integrated applications. - Modernize software licensing frameworks to ensure scalable, recurring revenue models across all current and future applications. - Act as the bridge between engineering and the market, ensuring our sensing and adaptive technologies solve complex real-world infrastructure challenges. - This role will report into VP, Product Management. Platform Strategy & Architectural Integrity - Collaborate closely with the Platform Product and Engineering teams to define the boundaries between core platform capabilities and application-specific features. - Optimize for speed by identifying "common denominators" that should be built into the platform to accelerate app-level development. - Ensure all products are developed in a principled, high-quality manner, maintaining a disciplined approach to technical debt and architectural consistency. - Act as a gatekeeper for quality, ensuring that app-level innovations respect the integrity of the broader platform ecosystem. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence - Partner with cross-discipline teams to ensure seamless product launches and long-term market adoption. - Serve as the primary internal advocate for App Services, aligning diverse stakeholders on roadmap priorities and resource allocation. - Work closely with Sales leadership to translate complex technical features into clear value propositions that drive revenue and customer success. - Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure licensing and service models are operationally sound and commercially viable. Team Development & Mentorship - Foster a culture of technical agility, preparing the team to pivot from specialized vertical applications to a broader range of enterprise-level software services. - Set the standard for operational KPIs, ensuring all App Services meet rigorous performance and reliability benchmarks. Ideal Profile: - Experienced Strategist: You bring 10+ years of professional experience in technology leadership or product management, with a proven track record of managing strong leaders and specialized technical teams. - Hands-On Player-Coach: You are a leader who thrives on "getting into the weeds." You don't just delegate; you roll up your sleeves to fill gaps, write documentation, and do the work alongside your team whenever necessary. You are a doer who leads by example. - A Bar-Raiser for Excellence: You have a product sense that allows you to identify what a world-class service looks like. You don't just manage what exists; you actively push outside the status quo to drive higher standards of execution and user experience. - Principled Architect of Speed: You understand the "Platform vs. App" trade-offs. You know how to leverage a platform to move fast without compromising on long-term stability or high-quality engineering standards. - Obsessively Curious: You are a lifelong learner who can "go deep" into new domains quickly. Whether it’s a new AI algorithm or a complex licensing structure, you have the intellectual curiosity to master the details while keeping the big picture in sight. - Data-Driven & Decisive: You pull your own insights and use data as a compass for prioritization. You are comfortable with ambiguity but move quickly once the evidence points toward a winning strategy. - Master Collaborator: You are an expert at navigating cross-discipline environments. You speak the language of Engineering, Sales, and GTM, and you can unite them toward a common goal. - Industry Context (A Plus): While a background in smart infrastructure, IoT, or complex technical services is a definite advantage, we value your ability to lead, disrupt, and scale more than your specific domain history. Your Rewards & Well-being: We invest in our team with benefits designed for modern life and true work-life balance. - Comprehensive Coverage: Your well-being is covered from day one with comprehensive health benefits, 24/7 virtual healthcare access, and dedicated wellness programs. - Financial Future: Build for tomorrow with our RRSP/401K Matching Plan and share in the company's success through our Variable Incentive Plan. - Time to Recharge: Truly unplug with our unique Mio-Days and flexible vacation policy. - Work & Life Support: We support you with flexible work options, an internet subsidy, a remote work allowance, and enhanced leave for new parents. Sound like your next adventure? Apply now and let's start building together! We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Please indicate if you require accommodation on your application, and our team will work with you to meet your accessibility needs.
